Wale Bringing His Ambition To 'RapFix Live'

Maybach Music rapper will join Sway on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com to talk about his sophomore album.

In February, Wale joined Rick Ross' Maybach Music roster. Since then, the D.C. rapper has been counting down until the release of his sophomore album, Ambition, which drops Tuesday. This Wednesday at 4 p.m. on MTV.com, Wale will sit down with Sway on "RapFix Live" to give fans some insight into his state of mind, 24 hours after the project's official release.

In anticipation of the album's debut, Wale has already rolled out the singles "Slight Work" featuring Big Sean and the title track "Ambition," which features his MMG cohorts Rick Ross and Meek Mill. One of the most buzzed-about collaborations, however, is the Kid Cudi-featured "Focused," which caused a splash thanks to a very public falling-out between the two rappers last year and an equally public reconciliation earlier this year.

"When they kept talking about me and Cudi in every magazine, this is the record I felt like they needed to hear," Wale told MTV News. "The one that everybody was going to get behind, and it was going to go top 40 and not be corny."

During his recent "Road to Release" series on MTV2's "Sucker Free," Wale revealed that he was much more selective about features this time around, including about half the amount of guests who appeared on his debut, Attention: Deficit. "We kept the features to a minimum because I wanted to give you more of me than I did on the previous project," Wale explained.

Attention: Deficit debuted in November 2009 — with features from artists such as Lady Gaga, Bun B and Gucci Mane — to a lukewarm reception. Some of the album's lackluster performance on the charts was attributed to under shipment from Wale's former label Interscope Records.

Not one to be deterred, Wale followed up with the August 2010 mixtape More About Nothing, which became a trending topic on Twitter. This year, he scored a major hit with the single "600 Benz" from Maybach Music's Self-Made Vol. 1 album, and he dropped another popular mixtape The Eleven One Eleven Theory in August.

Tune into "RapFix Live" this week to hear what Wale has to say about his journey to Ambition. Tweet your questions for Wale @MTVNews with the hashtag #RapFixLive.

'Harry Potter' Author 'Seriously Considered' Killing Ron Weasley

'Midway through, I started thinking I might polish one of them off,' J.K. Rowling says in DVD special feature.
By Eric Ditzian

It's no secret that a great many fans in the "Harry Potter" community — a whopping 89 percent, according to a wildly popular poll over at MTV Movies Blog — would have preferred that Hermione Granger end up with the boy wizard rather than with good ol' Ron Weasley. Perhaps the same sentiment occurred to author J.K. Rowling, who recently admitted that she almost sent Ron to an early grave.

"Funnily enough, I planned from the start that none of them would die," Rowling told Daniel Radcliffe in a special feature on the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" Blu-ray and DVD, according to the U.K.'s Guardian. "Then midway through, which I think is a reflection of the fact that I wasn't in a very happy place, I started thinking I might polish one of them off. Out of sheer spite. 'There, now you definitely can't have him anymore.' But I think in my absolute heart of heart of hearts, although I did seriously consider killing Ron, [I wouldn't have done it]."

Rowling kept this franchise-altering potential story line a secret not only through completion of her "Potter" novels in 2007 but the end of the film series this summer. Now the author says she feels a sense of creative liberation that she can share news of the discarded plot point. "It's a real relief to be able to talk about it all," she said.

The full Rowling-Radcliffe chat will be available on November 11, when the Blu-ray and DVD releases hit shelves. In September, MTV News debuted an exclusive clip from the chat in which Radcliffe compared "Harry Potter" to "Star Wars" and touted the way in which Rowling's characters "exist in the collective consciousness of a generation." That's hardly an exaggeration, and it's difficult to imagine Weasley, played by Rupert Grint in the films, not living on in the imaginations of fans. After all, Weasley finished in second place in our Harry Potter World Cup this summer, a fan-driven effort that attracted over seven million votes and was ultimately won by Alan Rickman's Severus Snape.

For Rowling, Weasley and "Potter" fans, then, any other fate for Ron would be unimaginable. "I'm going to miss the screaming. You don't get that everywhere, and I'm going to miss that definitely," Grint told MTV News at the final film's red-carpet premiere. "I'm really going to miss playing [Ron] in these films."

Rick Ross Collabo In The Works, Mobb Deep Reveal

'All that is in the works, man,' Prodigy tells MTV News' 'RapFix Live.'

As Mobb Deep prepare to roll out theirBlack Cocaine EP in November, followed by their ninth, self-titled album at the top of 2012, Prodigy and Havoc are looking to expand their horizons with a series of new collaborations. One artist the Queensbridge duo are particularly keen to work with is Rick Ross.

During Wednesday's episode of "RapFix Live," Prodigy told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway that he has already reached out to Ross for a feature.

"All that is in the works, man. We like Rick Ross," Prodigy said. "I'mma be honest: We come from an era where longevity and consistency is key, and in the beginning, I ain't really see that in him. Then while I was locked up, he was dropping more and more music. I was like, 'Damn, I'm starting to like this dude.' That's when I was like, 'We need to holla at son and do some music with him.' "

After wrapping up a three-year prison stint for weapons possession in March, Prodigy said he headed directly to G-Unit's NYC offices, where he met with 50 Cent — who signed the group to G-Unit in 2005 — to discuss the collaboration. 50 Cent and Rick Ross have a notorious beef, which hit fever pitch in 2009 when Fif launched a full-scale attack against Rozay on his blog ThisIs50.com.

"The first day I came home, I went to the G-Unit office and told [50 Cent], 'Listen, Mobb Deep needs to start doing songs with everybody. We need to start reaching out to people even if we got little conflicts — people like Rick Ross, people like Lil Wayne, everybody that we respect and we like their music — and start doing songs with them.' "

50 Cent's answer? "He was like, 'Yeah, you right.' "

Prodigy didn't talk specifics about his intended Rick Ross collaborations, but during an earlier episode of "RapFix Live," the Bawse himself confirmed that fans could expect a Mobb Deep collaboration soon.

"I respect him most definitely, as being a Boss," Ross said of Prodigy. "When he was released, he gave me a call a few days after that. We spoke on the phone maybe once or twice, and it was a genuine conversation, us just touching bases. We most definitely put a record or two on the table, and just to be frank, I was always a fan of the homie, HNIC."

'In Time': The Reviews Are In!

Justin Timberlake's sci-fi thriller has audiences and critics divided.
By Kara Warner

Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in "In Time"
Photo: 20th Century Fox

What do you get when you mix a futuristic, time-as-money/life-or-death premise; a cast of pretty young things, including Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Matt Bomer and Cillian Murphy; plus the sound sci-fi sensibilities of writer/director Andrew Niccol ("Gattaca," "The Truman Show") and appropriately stylized cinematography by Roger Deakins ("True Grit," "The Reader")? "In Time" is what, a complex, visually appealing sci-fi thriller that has audiences and critics somewhat divided. (The critical collective over at Rotten Tomatoes is at 36 percent rotten, while its audience rating sits at 76 percent fresh.)

Take a few moments to check out the film's ticking points, if you will, as we sift through the "In Time" reviews!

The Story
"The premise builds on the notion that time is money. In the movie's dystopian future, where today's cars have tomorrow's grilles, time has replaced money. People are born with genetic clocks that stop at the age of 25; after that they've got one year in which to beg, borrow, steal or even earn more time. If they don't, the digital clocks embedded in their forearms dwindle down to zero and they time out, i.e., die. That's clever, right? But then there are roving gangs called Minute Men (Teddy Boy types out of 'A Clockwork Orange') who steal time; the borderline-silly spectacle of almost everyone looking 25; the polemic element of social injustice (the richest of the rich can live forever because they've got eons socked away); and the action-adventure element, a clumsy amalgam of Robin Hood, 'Bonnie and Clyde,' 'The Avengers,' 'Les Misérables,' 'Dick Tracy' (for the color and graphics) and Mr. Niccol's earlier, and impressive, genetic-engineering opus 'Gattaca.' " — Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal

The Sci-Fi Confusion/ High-Concept Factor
"For a movie about the importance of maximizing every second, 'In Time' ultimately grows repetitive and wears out its welcome. It's fast-paced and hugely stylish, though, with its great-looking cast and a mix of gleaming, futuristic visuals and grimy, industrial chic. And it's a welcome return to the kind of slick sci-fi Niccol made his name on in the mid-'90s with 'Gattaca' and 'The Truman Show' (which he wrote). But his high-concept premise raises several nagging questions. Why do all the inhabitants of this dystopian world (which happens to look just like downtown Los Angeles and Century City) stop aging at 25, then find themselves with only a year left unless they can buy themselves more? When did this start — what is the purpose? And if Justin Timberlake is so busy working in a factory just so he can afford to live one day to the next, where does he find time to go to the gym?" — Christy Lemire, The Associated Press

The Performances
"There are moguls who are mean and have more time than God, which they bank in banks. Chief among them is a calculatingly evil Philippe Weis ('Mad Men's' Vincent Kartheiser, well-turned-out here too), with daughter Sylvia (Seyfried) the apple of Daddy's eye — although whether he loves her or time more will be tested. There are regular bad guys, time thieves called Minutemen, led by Alex Pettyfer, who seems to be getting a little too comfortable in bad-guy roles ('Beastly,' 'Tormented'), as Fortis. Meanwhile, inflation is rampant; the class divide is growing ever wider; the world is ripe for an action hero. Cue Timberlake. 'In Time' was supposed to turn Timberlake into a superhero, though given the way he manages a fairly massive pop career with an increasingly impressive acting portfolio ('Social Network' most recently), that may not be necessary. He brings an interesting sensibility to his characters, Will included, that suggest a complex interior that 'In Time' never quite reveals. The same goes for Seyfried ('Mamma Mia!,' 'Red Riding Hood'), who can do a lot more than use those big eyes and sleek lines." — Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times

The Final Word, Pro-Con-Pro Style
"There's plenty to enjoy about that genre standard, which, with the help of the cinematographer Roger Deakins (shooting in digital), Mr. Niccol transforms into a neonoir gaudily washed in green and gold. There's a memorable night scene when Will and Sylvia sprint across a succession of roofs pursued by Raymond, the camera racing parallel with the couple, the exuberance of their freedom and flight palpable. Here, as in other scenes where Mr. Niccol let his images do the talking, the movie works, despite its wavering tone and slow-and-go energy. But then the characters open their mouths and start going on about minutes and hours, clocks and watches, and their time running out and not having enough time and where's my time, don't waste my time, that time will get you killed, brother can you spare some time because, well, I'm all out." — Manohla Dargis, The New York Times

"One problem with 'In Time' is that it's more fun to describe than to sit through. Another is that Niccol's direction of his cast is spotty at best. Timberlake has the steely visage and stubbled cheeks for a rogue hero, but Seyfried, always a watchable presence, has trouble connecting with Sylvia's inner rebellious streak or, for that matter, lending urgency to her line readings. The film's crucial failing, though, is that Niccol's imagination is vigorously literary but not thrillingly cinematic. The movie exhausts its capital about halfway through — devolving, as the Timekeeper tracks the lovers on the run, into a series of car chases and foot races, none of them very spiffily executed. If you're like me, you will be captivated by the first hour and, after that, impatiently checking your watch." — Richard Corliss, Time

"Even if 'In Time' descends from its gripping and thought-provoking premise into a mediocre chase thriller before it's over, it's still pretty damn satisfying to watch in the current climate. Of course the contradictions of capitalism are just as present in eras of widespread affluence as in eras of recession or stagnation, but we see them a hell of a lot more clearly at the moment. Niccol is dramatizing the human costs of the concentration of wealth, expressed by Philippe in the film with the formula that some must die so others can live forever. Somewhere Marx quips that capital is immortal even if its possessors are not; this movie's imaginative leap is to conflate the two and build a world where even death, the great leveler in human affairs, can be bought off." — Andrew O'Hehir, Salon.com

Jay-Z, Kanye West's Throne Tour Has Thrilling Liftoff

Regal rap titans bounced through Watch the Throne cuts and solo smashes in a set marked by a gaudy display of hits.

Jay-Z and Kanye West kick off Watch the Throne tour in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia — Not even a stormy night could stop the regal reign of the Throne. On Friday, Jay-Z and Kanye West opened up their Watch the Throne Tour in Atlanta. While the WTT album has been noted for its opulent displays of wealth, Hov and Yeezy's show will be marked by the duo's overabundance of hit records.

The doors to the Philips Arena opened at 7:30 p.m. ET and, with no scheduled show opener, the house DJ played old slow jams like the Isley Brothers' "Between the Sheets," Little Beaver's "Get Into the Party Life" and Hank Crawford's "Wildflower" — all songs that have been sampled by Kanye and Jay at one time or another. Still, the subtle measure wasn't nearly enough to keep fans satisfied. By 9 p.m. ET, the crunked-up crowd was restless and salivating for the night's stars.

With the house lights low and fans pumped, the multilayered instrumental from "H.A.M." came blaring through the sound system. The initial WTT track has been criticized by some as too over-the-top and too much unlike anything in Jay and 'Ye's respective catalogs, but the helter-skelter mix of crashing symbals, bleeps, beeps and bombastic bass was clearly built specifically for sports stadiums and grand auditoriums.

The build was perfect, even if the execution wasn't. Kanye commandeered a rising platform at the front of the stage, while Jay simultaneously occupied a similar lift that was situated on the floor in the middle of the crowd. Within moments, the duo were elevated in unison towering above the audience, volleying verses from one side of the arena to the other. Jay stumbled vocally, though: His ear piece short-circuited and failed to properly feed him the music and his timing was clearly affected. For a time, Hov's raps were badly off beat.

But there were no fits and no cursing at the sound man. Instead, Jay fought through the malfunction, which lasted through the next song. While mid-verse on the dubstep-laced "Who Gon Stop Me," Jigga cued to have the music cut, then finished his bars a capella, buying time until the technical mistake was corrected. From there, perfection ensued.

"Otis" came early in the set. With a Givenchy-designed American flag flashing on the stage's main screens, the Throne bounced through their fan-fave with a youthful glee. Surprisingly, the Roc Boys performed a number of hyped-up Watch the Throne cuts in the first quarter of the show.

With the Throne tone set, Kanye disappeared from the stage while Jay got his rocks off spitting his 1997 street banger "Where I'm From." Throughout the night, Hov and Yeezy would trade off, rocking a few solo songs a piece, before coming together for something collaborative. 'Ye tore through "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Jesus Walks" all by himself, before Jigga reappeared for Yeezy's "Diamonds from Sierra Leone (Remix)."

Jay's "Public Service Announcement" and "You Don't Know" were played against Kanye's "Good Life" and "Power" in a sound clash of sorts. By the time the Louis Vuitton Don launched into the gut-wrenching "Runaway," he had hit his stride. He even remixed "Runaway," pleading with the crowd to hold on to their loved ones as he sang, "If you love somebody tonight, hold on real tight." It was effective as couples in the crowd, hugged, danced and two lovebirds even made out.

In a comical section of the set, Jay-Z and the College Dropout weaved a funny story line where their hits "Big Pimpin'," "Gold Digger" and "99 Problems" became a narrative for Jay to school his "little brother" on the opposite sex.

Kanye owned the outfit of the night. After one particular wardrobe change, he marched out to "Touch the Sky" sporting a tribal-type jacket, leather kilt, leather pants underneath and his glow-in-the-dark Air Yeezys. Hov's black Yankee snapback and matching hoodie were no match.

Every time the crowd thought the two-hour-plus show was over, it wasn't. First there was "N---as in Paris." The track's Will Farrell intro ("We're gonna skate to one song and one song only") brought on the moment that everyone was waiting for. As the Atlanta crowd bounced feverishly to the Hit Boy-produced single, Jay halted the proceedings midway: "Start that sh-- over," he barked as the Throne's most-energetic selection of the night brought the crowd to an apex.

Next was Jay's "Encore," followed by an inspirational rendition of "Made in America," complete with images of Martin Luther King Jr. and "sweet brother" Malcolm X flashing on the big screen. Finally, the Throne closed with the rocked-out "Why I Love You," saluting the crowd as they moseyed offstage. "Peace ATL, thanks for all the love. Goodnight," Jay-Z said.

On a night where the two kings put their wealth on full display, lucky for Atlanta, Jay and Kanye West were willing to share.

Adele To Undergo Throat Surgery, Cancels All Shows

British belter will 'undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat,' according to statement.
By James Montgomery

Adele
Photo: Jon Kopaloff/ FilmMagic

Adele has scrapped all remaining performances and appearances in 2011 and will undergo surgery to treat her ongoing vocal issues, according to a statement posted Friday (October 28) on her official site.

"It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011. She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat, and a full recovery is expected," the statement reads. "As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments."

The news comes less than a month after Adele announced she was canceling her U.S. tour — which had previously been rescheduled thanks to a bout with laryngitis — after suffering a vocal hemorrhage. At the time, Adele wrote that she was "truly devastated and annoyed" by her ongoing condition, but had "no choice" but to rest her voice and recuperate.

"Singing is literally my life ... I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it. Wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as I'm sure you know," she wrote in a message to her fans. "My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I'm gonna be starting up vocal rehab [soon] and start building my overall stamina in my voice, body and mind."

It's not known exactly what type of surgical procedure Adele will undergo, but Rolling Stone recently spoke to several throat surgeons who said that, due to her recurring vocal injuries, she might need the kind of surgery Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler underwent in 2006 (a procedure that had him singing again in five months).

"It's very fixable," Tyler's doctor, Steven Zeitels, who serves as the director of the Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation at Massachusetts General Hospital, told RS. "This is not something that's a deal breaker, even remotely."

A spokesperson for Adele's record label, Columbia, did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the matter.

Gucci Mane Denied Early Release, Hit With Civil Suit

Rapper offered to perform at a women's shelter in exchange for a reduction in his sentence.
By Alvin Blanco

Any early welcome-home parties for Gucci Mane need to be put on hold. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the "Wasted" rapper's attempt to have his jail sentence reduced in half was denied Friday (October 28) by DeKalb State Court Judge Eleanor Ross.

Gucci (born Radric Davis) is currently serving a six-month sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct for pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle back in January.

After picking up a woman at the South Dekalb Mall under the pretense of going to breakfast, Gucci instead invited her to a tryst at a hotel. Gucci allegedly pushed the woman out of his Hummer when she refused his advances and asked to be driven back to the mall. Gucci wasn't arrested for the incident until April and was sentenced in September.

On Friday, Gucci's lawyer suggested that his client would hold a concert to benefit the DeKalb County Battered Women's Shelter in exchange for a reduction in his sentence. Judge Ross' response: "I don't think it would be appropriate to let him out just because he's a rapper."

That wasn't the end of Gucci's bad news for the day: Moments after having his motion for a reduced sentence denied, he learned that he was also facing a civil suit from the victim, who identified him by the tattoo of an ice-cream cone on his face.

In August, Gucci released Ferrari Boyz, a collaborative album with fellow 1017 Brick Squad member Waka Flocka Flame. Last week, Waka tweeted, "Gucci home," leading many to believe Gucci had been released early. Upon his actual release, Gucci will be required to complete 12 weeks of anger management courses and pay $5,091 to cover the victim's medical bills and a $3,000 fine.

Tragedy has struck the Bulgarian set of the star-studded action sequel "The Expendables 2."

A stuntman was killed when an accident occurred involving a rubber boat and an explosion. Two stuntmen were involved in the scene, which was filming around 7 p.m. local time on Thursday night. The second man suffered serious injuries, but he is now said to be in stable condition.

No information has been released yet as to the identities of the men involved in the incident. A representative from the production company behind the Sylvester Stallone-produced film, Nu Image/Millennium Films, released a statement, saying, "It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident. Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident."

The accident occurred while the second unit filmed at the Ognyanovo dam in Bulgaria. None of the film's stars were present during the incident, as the first unit was filming at a resort more than two hours away.

"Expendables 2" is scheduled to hit theaters next August and stars Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme. It is the sequel to the hit 2010 action film written and directed by Stallone. The sequel reunites most of the cast, while adding Simon West as director and adding Norris and Van Damme to the lineup.

Rick Ross Collabo In The Works, Mobb Deep Reveal

'All that is in the works, man,' Prodigy tells MTV News' 'RapFix Live.'
By Nadeska Alexis, with reporting by Sway Calloway

Are you looking forward to a Mobb Deep and Rick Ross collaboration? Let us know in the comments!

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus Recalls Roof Diving, On 'When I Was 17'

'It's a miracle that we're still here,' he says on latest episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV.

On the next episode of "When I Was 17," Mark Hoppus, bassist for blink-182 and host of Fuse's "Hoppus on Music," sheds light on what his life was like before he was asking "What's my age again?"

Surprisingly (except not at all), he was as out of control back then as he is now, as he reveals on the episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT.

"We were really smart as high-schoolers. We had a friend, his name was Dave, he had a two-story house, and in the backyard of his house was a pool. And his parents would leave for days at a time, so of course, Dave's a responsible guy, he wouldn't let anything bad happen. So we would jump off a second-story roof into the pool," admitted Hoppus, who just finished up on the Honda Civic Tour alongside My Chemical Romance. "We called it Acapulco cliff diving."

"It was definitely high enough so that if you jumped in, you had to turn your body as soon as possible so that you didn't eat your knees," he added.

While at first it started off safe — well, sort of — Acapulco cliff diving soon became more and more competitive as time went on.

"At first I think it was cannonballs and feet first, and then we'd one-up each other and by the end, people were doing flips. I definitely dove headfirst into this pool. It's a miracle that we're still here."

And a miracle it is, Mark. Because we can't imagine what life would have been like without some Blink-182.

Don't miss this week's episode of "When I Was 17," featuring Mark Hoppus, Sean Kingston and Tiffani Thiessen, at 11 a.m. Saturday on MTV.

How Do 'In Time' Stars Make The Most Of Their Time?

We ask Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and more how they avoid wasting time at the DMV, on a plane and more.
By Kara Warner

Photo: 20th Century Fox

Hey, Justin Timberlake fans: You can now celebrate your favorite triple threat's return to the big screen via the new sci-fi thriller "In Time." The film is set in the not-so-distant future in a society that lives and dies according to how much time you have and can acquire. In this world, time is literally money, and when your time runs out, you die.

In the spirit of making the most of time, although in not quite as serious a manner as is portrayed in the film, when MTV News caught up with the cast of "In Time," we asked a series of rapid-fire questions pegged to getting the most out of everyday scenarios: "How do you make the most of your time, when ... "

1. On a plane?
"Oh, I like to read or do crossword puzzles," said Vincent Kartheiser, whom "Mad Men" fans will recognize as bad guy Pete Campbell.

"I sleep, normally," Amanda Seyfried said, "but [I like to listen to] audio books or knit."

2. On hold with customer service?
"When the [customer service rep] comes back, I like to completely change voices," Timberlake revealed, changing his voice into a deep, serious baritone. " 'Hey, I'd like to speak to your supervisor,' and then [changing his voice into a high-pitched, younger voice], 'Hey, man, listen, I had a problem,' " he play-acted for us.

"I put [the phone] on speaker and get some work done," Matt Bomer said.

3. God forbid, when the Internet goes down?
"You should read a book," Bomer advised of this worst-case scenario. "Maybe the newspaper, get caught up on current events."

Seyfried told us she's trying to cut down her Internet use. "It gets to be time consuming, so when the Internet goes down, you just have to read the newspaper," she said.

4. When waiting at the DMV?
"Power through," Bomer advised of the always-long lines at the Department of Motor Vehicles. "Whatever you can get done. Sudoku, Maybe?"

"There's always one person who's like, 'I hate this place! I'm never coming back!' " Kartheiser said.

"Google whatever the state legal limit is for blood alcohol concentration, because that's usually why I'm there," Timberlake added with a laugh.

Check out everything we've got on "In Time."

Adele To Undergo Throat Surgery, Cancels All Shows

British belter will 'undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat,' according to statement.
By James Montgomery

Jennifer Lopez Covers Glamour Women Of The Year Issue

'American Idol' judge is the magazine's 'All-Star Woman.'
By Christina Garibaldi

Photo: Conde Nast

Jennifer Lopez has had a roller coaster ride of a year. In January, the singer took over one of the vacant judges' seats on "American Idol," scored a hit single with "On the Floor" off her album Love? a few months later, and saw her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony come to an end in the summer.

But it seems 2011 will end on a high note for Lopez as she'll grace the December cover of Glamour's annual Women of the Year issue. Lopez is being honored as an "All-Star Woman" for her numerous achievements this year in television, music, fashion and charity. The singer/actress/fashionista was interviewed for the magazine by another inspiring woman, actress Jane Fonda. Lopez talked candidly about what she's learned about love and relationships over this past year.

"I think I've finally learned the biggest lesson of all: You've got to love yourself first," Lopez says. "You've got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with someone else. You've got to value yourself and know that you're worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can't really have a healthy relationship."

So does that mean Lopez is ready to date again? Possibly, but this time she plans to try to keep her love life out of the tabloids. "I think to give something a chance, to really get to know somebody, you want to do it out of the public eye," Lopez says. "You know the media — they want to rush everything."

While Lopez's romances often make headlines, the "American Idol" judge has been also been known to turn heads with her style.

"The things I liked when I was, like, 16 and in the Bronx — jeans, cut-up T-shirts — I still like," she admits. "But I've been exposed to so much now from traveling the world and seeing couture clothes," Lopez added. "I used all of that when I created my new line for Kohl's. My style has come from everything, from where I started to where I am today."

Lopez and 10 other lucky ladies will be honored in Glamour magazine's Women of the Year issue, which hits newsstands November 1.

Who else do you think deserves Glamour's Women of the Year honor? Tell us in the comments!

Beyonce Delivers 'Live At Roseland' DVD Next Month

B's four-night stand at Roseland Ballroom arrives on DVD by Thanksgiving.

Back in August, Beyoncé played four hotly hyped, sold-out shows at New York's Roseland Ballroom, the same venue where Radiohead played a two-night stand last month. If you weren't one of the lucky few who snagged a ticket to Beyoncé's celebration of her 4 album, don't worry. The singer will release a new concert DVD, "Live at Roseland," on November 21.

The DVD, which captures the "4 Intimate Nights with Beyoncé" event, will be sold exclusively at Walmart and includes 26 songs from her cabaret show and concert, which took place shortly before she officially announced her pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The DVD not only includes a montage of B's finest tunes, both with Destiny's Child and as a solo star, but also features the singer candidly revealing the stories behind the greatest moments in her career.

In addition to a retrospective of hits, Beyoncé also brought things up to date during those string of Roseland concerts, playing her 2011 album, 4, in its entirety.

Jay-Z's favorite lady, who just dropped her video for "Party," will also release, on November 29, a deluxe DVD package, "Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4." The pack will include plenty of extras that Beyoncé fans should go crazy over, including a two-disc DVD featuring the concert, bonus footage, previously unreleased videos, a booklet and a video anthology.

November 21 is shaping up to be a big day for pop fans. Lady Gaga releases her very own concert DVD special that day, in addition to the Born This Way the Remix album. Even better, she'll bundle those two new items with her original Born This Way album for the ultimate Gaga gift, called Born This Way: The Collection.

Which DVD special are you most excited for? Tell us in the comments!
