British singer tops chart for fifth time since album's release, with latest 'Glee' soundtrack debuting at #2.

She's done what such veteran acts as Britney Spears, the Foo Fighters and Chris Brown haven't been able to: hold on to the top spot. Actually, in the nine weeks Adele's 21 has been out in the U.S., the British songbird has been at #1 five different times, and will land there again next week thanks to a 65 percent uptick in sales to 153,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.
Whether it was an "American Idol" boost thanks to Haley Reinhart performing "Rolling in the Deep" last week or just good word-of-mouth, Adele continues to roll along, closing in on the 1.3 million mark, giving her far-and-away the best-selling album of 2011 so far.
The only debut in next week's top 10 is yet another "Glee" soundtrack, Glee: The Music Presents the Warblers, which comes in at a distant #2 on sales of 86,000. After notching their first career #1 last week, the Foo Fighters drop to #3 as sales atrophied by 69 percent to 72,000, and last week's #3 album, the comeback from bluegrass icons Alison Krauss & Union Station also sees a big (49 percent) drop-off to slip three spots to #6 (42,000).
The rest of the top 10: Disney's Lemonade Mouth (#4, 69,000), Britney Spears' Femme Fatale (#5, 45,000), Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More (#7, 39,000), Paul Simon's So Beautiful or So What (#8, 37,000), Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. (#9, 37,000) and Justin Bieber's Never Say Never — The Remixes (#10, 36,000, up 85 percent).
Katy Perry's Teenage Dream gets a boost from her "Idol" performance as well, jumping nine spots to #11 as sales were up 70 percent to 34,000. The Gorillaz's iPad album, The Fall, has a modest debut at #24 (21,000), and British pop queen Jessie J has a major comedown, as her long-awaited debut, Who You Are, plummets 31 slots in week two to #42 on sales of 13,000.
Over on the iTunes chart, Adele rules supreme as well, topping both the singles and albums tallies. No doubt also boosted by Reinhart's version on "Idol," the British songbird's smash single, "Rolling in the Deep," tops the singles chart, followed by "Idol" performer Katy Perry's "E.T.," the Black Eyed Peas' "Just Can't Get Enough," Bruno Mars' "The Lazy Song," Lady Gaga's "Judas," Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor," Jeremih's "Down on Me," Ke$ha's "Blow," Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" and Tinie Tempah's "Written in the Stars."
21 sits atop the iTunes album list, beating out the "Glee" cast album, with the Foo Fighters in at #3, followed by Mumford & Sons, Lemonade Mouth, the top seven "American Idol" digital collection, Spears, Gorillaz, Rihanna's Loud and the Songs for Japan digital fundraising album.
Look for a bit of movement at the top next week with the arrival of the Beastie Boys' Hot Sauce Committee Part Two as well as new albums from the Airborne Toxic Event and Shinedown.
