The second episode of the second season of MTV's "RapFix Live" is guaranteed to be another amazing show thanks to special guest Styles P.
Last week, Philly rapper Freeway came through and chopped it up about his past, current and future endeavors. This week's invitee is a New York City hip-hop veteran who also has plenty of news to share. Styles P, a.k.a. the Ghost, is a member of the LOX (with partners Sheek Louch and Jadakiss) but he has enjoyed a successful solo career too.
After dropping a couple of official mixtapes last year (as well as authoring a book titled "Invincible"), the Yonkers MC is preparing to release his fourth proper solo album, Master of Ceremonies, on October 4. Recently, he shot the video for the album's lead single "Harsh," with Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes.
Apart from his music business — he was featured on Rick Ross' 2010 smash hit "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)" — Styles recently opened a juice bar, Juices for Life, in New York City's the Bronx. Styles and his D-Block crew are also at work on a collaborative project with members of Wu-Tang Clan (Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and more) called Wu-Block.
Also appearing on Wednesday's edition of "RapFix Live" is Cash Money Records rapper Glasses Malone, who'll stop by to premiere his new video for "No Sympathy."
"I wish I could sing sometimes, but I can't, so what I try to do is keep carving my niche at this gangsta sh--," Malone told MTV News recently. "I figure, I can't top Drake doin' what he's doin'. Drake is that n---a, he got it together. Wayne is that n---a, but I could make them n---as like, 'Man that n---a G's sh-- hard.' And once you do that, you win."
"No Sympathy" features Malone's fellow Cali MC on the come up Jay Rock and appears on Glasses' just-released debut, Beach Cruiser. Jay Rock joined host Sway on the "RFL" couch earlier this month and participated in an epic freestyle cipher, along with Freddie Gibbs and Kendrick Lamar, at the end of the live stream.
