In celebration of the life and musical legacy of Amy Winehouse, MTV will reach into its vaults and air an intimate performance from the singer, taped in 2007, when she stood on the verge of superstardom.

The rarely seen set — filmed in MTV's Times Square studios as part of the "45th at Night" live series — features Winehouse and her Back to Black backing band, the Dap-Kings, working their way through searing and soulful renditions of the songs that would soon become her biggest hits: "Rehab," "Back to Black," "Me & Mr. Jones" and "You Know I'm No Good." A collaboration between Winehouse and rapper Mos Def on the song "Love Is a Losing Game" will also be included in the broadcast.

The performance will air on MTV on Wednesday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, and will be available immediately afterward on MTV.com.

Winehouse, the British belter who rose to international fame thanks to her defiant hit "Rehab" (and the near-constant tabloid coverage of her personal life that followed), was found dead in her London home on Saturday, a grim discovery that quickly sent shockwaves through the music industry and had many scrambling to find the right way to sum up a career that burned so brightly ... and was extinguished far too soon.

In the time since her body was discovered, London police announced that an initial autopsy failed to reveal the cause of Winehouse's death and that additional toxicology tests were needed. Those tests could take two to four weeks to complete.
